    Description

    Senior Payroll Specialist Position

    Location: Shelton, CT, 06484 (Hybrid)

    Pay Rate: $30.00/hr. on W2

    Shift: 7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

    Duration: 6 Months contract

    • The Senior Payroll Specialist supports operations in Shelton, CT and Pittsburgh, PA, with a hybrid work arrangement.
    • Responsibilities include accurate and timely processing, verification, analysis, and reporting of hourly and salaried payroll information for multiple business entities on a weekly and biweekly basis.
    • Contribution to continuous improvement of payroll processes and procedures.
    • Processing all aspects of assigned payrolls, including verification of time entries, new hires, terminations, tax information, and more.
    • Data validation and review from various sources.
    • Reconciliation of payroll liabilities, year-end processing, and more.

    Skills/Experience Required:

    • 5-10 years of experience in processing payroll within a large, multi-state, union environment.
    • High School Diploma.
    • Advanced proficiency in Excel, intermediate in other MS Office programs.
    • Knowledge of wage and hour laws, employment law, basic accounting principles.
    • Attention to detail, organization, time management, and meeting deadlines.
