- Process all aspects of assigned payrolls (using automated payroll system where applicable)
- Process manual checks and voids in a timely manner
- Review and validate interfaced data from SuccessFactor to UKG Pro payroll system
- Reconcile and prepare check requests and wire transfers for payroll liabilities
- Assist in audits by providing records and documentation to auditors (401k, workers compensation, unemployment, W-2, wage reporting, etc.)
- Ensure accurate and timely year end processing (W-2 and/or T4) including reconciliation of tax issues
- Knowledge in implementation and custom reporting for mergers and acquisitions
- Serve as a backup to (3) Senior Payroll Specialists and support the Payroll Manager
- High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Business, Finance, etc.) preferred
- Required Years of Professional Experience: years
- FCP Certification a plus, but not required
- Experience with write in sequel database is a plus, but not required
- Experience processing payroll from start to finish, preferably in large, multi-state, union environment
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong computer skills (MS Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
