    Description
    Position: Director of Finance/Sr. Controller
    Location: New York, NY (In Office)
    Salary: $175k - 225k + Bonus

    Mid-sized Law Firm seeks a Director of Finance to lead their team

    RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Managing all partner and contract partner agreements, tax matters, K-1s, compensation, and financial regulations.
    • Overseeing and becoming an expert in software upgrades and maintenance, including Billblast, Aderant, ITimeKeep, Partner Dashboards, and sequel reports.
    • Strategic financial planning and forecasting to align with the firm's long-term goals.
    • Enhancing the firm's financial performance through data-driven decision-making and analytics.
    • Enhancing collaboration with other departments and attorneys for streamlined operations.
    • Leading, training, and managing the Finance Department.
    • Providing comprehensive coverage for finance-related tasks during absences.
    • Establishing protocols for financial risk management.
    • Ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal policies.
    • Incorporating sustainable practices in financial operations.
    • Ensuring policies are up-to-date and reflective of current industry standards and practices.
    • Focusing on training and up-skilling opportunities and employee retention strategies to strengthen department for Firm's benefit.
    • Continuous assessment of new financial technologies and tools for potential integration.
    • Providing in-depth accurate financial analysis, reporting, and forecasting
    • Providing strategic insights for cost-saving and revenue-enhancing projects.
    QUALIFICATIONS
    • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
    • CPA and/or MBA preferred.
    • 5+ years of experience in a senior-level financial managerial position.
    • Experience in a law firm or professional services firm desired
    • Tech savvy and experience implementing a new accounting system a desired
    • Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office and financial reporting software.
    • Aderant knowledge strongly desired
