    We are seeking an accomplished and strategic Sales & Market Development Leader to spearhead our initiatives in identifying and seizing growth opportunities within Stationary sector in the Americas. This role is pivotal in analyzing specific applications, assessing growth trajectories, and understanding the competitive landscape with a particular focus on the "right to win" and industry conduct. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying new business/markets that will lead to volume and revenue generations, developing comprehensive business cases that showcase our ability to excel in targeted markets while considering how competitors comport themselves in the market.

    Responsibilities

    Market Analysis:

    • Conduct thorough market analysis, concentrating on specific applications within the industrial sector.
    • Assess the size of the market, growth profile, and emerging trends to identify strategic opportunities.

    Competitive Intelligence and "Right to Win":

    • Analyze the competitive set within targeted applications, focusing on how competitors comport themselves in the market.
    • Evaluate our "right to win" by understanding our unique value proposition, strengths, and differentiation strategies.

    Industry Conduct and Trends:

    • Investigate industry conduct, examining how competitors behave in the market, adherence to standards, and their strategic approaches.
    • Stay informed about technological advancements and market trends, positioning our company as an industry leader.

    Operational and Technical Assessment:

    • Evaluate operational capabilities, ensuring alignment with identified growth opportunities.
    • Collaborate with technical teams to understand and articulate the technical compatibilities required for successful market entry.

    Business Case Development:

    • Develop robust business cases for growth markets, incorporating insights into market size, growth trajectory, competitive behavior, industry conduct, operational capabilities, and technical compatibilities.
    • Present compelling business cases to executive leadership, highlighting our "right to win" in the market.

    Customer Engagement:

    • Collaborate closely with customers to understand their needs and perspectives related to specific applications.
    • Utilize customer feedback to inform market development strategies and refine business cases.

    Cross-Functional Collaboration:

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment of strategies and capabilities with identified growth opportunities.
    • Facilitate communication between teams to ensure seamless execution of market development initiatives.

    Execution:

    • Responsible for delivering aggressive growth in a sales capacity and as the key driver to delivering new sales volumes, as defined by volume increases year over year while managing gross profit expectations.
    • Establish customer acquisition targets and deliver on executing new customers on a continuous basis.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
    • Proven experience (7 years) in market development or strategic planning within the industrial sector.
    • Direct sales experience required.
    • In-depth understanding of specific applications, market dynamics, and growth drivers.
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to build business cases and influence decision-making.
    • Comfortable engaging with customers to gather insights.
    • Willingness to travel as needed.
