    About the team & role
    The Strategic Operations team acts as the core hub of Stripe, laying the groundwork for the company's future growth. This team is focused on pivotal cross-company projects encompassing Stripe's overall Company Strategy, design and execution of the company-wide operating system, and spearheading key strategic initiatives in collaboration with top leaders. As a team member, you will be akin to a 'GM for hire,' delving into various challenges that drive business impact across operations, products, go-to-market strategies, and analytics.

    What you'll do
    Within this role, you will collaborate across different teams within our group and across Stripe's technical and user-facing sectors to resolve issues and devise workflows beneficial to our users. Specifically:
    • Work on overarching company strategy projects and partner with teams to implement modifications
    • Collaborate directly with senior executives and cross-functional teams to expedite progress, tackle challenging scaling initiatives, and nurture new programs
    • Focus on our core company metrics, aiding in identifying and propelling initiatives with the most significant impact for Stripe
    • Create and implement intricate business and operational systems and processes
    • Conduct analysis and research to guide our overall strategy and facilitate well-informed growth decisions for Stripe
    • Play a vital role in annual strategy and company goal planning
    • Monitor projects, timelines, and commitments on internal projects and customer deliveries

    Minimum requirements
    • 7+ years of experience in strategy & operations, product strategy, product management, or related roles in tech companies
    • Experience in highly cross-functional environments, with a role spanning strategy, analysis, and operations in a fast-paced setting
    • Possess critical and first-principles thinking, questioning current practices and zooming out to address fundamental questions
    • Demonstrate a passion for in-depth data analysis and problem-solving
    • Show interest in data analytics, with some familiarity in handling large data sets and/or SQL
    • Strong program management expertise, with a track record of overseeing end-to-end project/program execution that transformed company operations and drove measurable business impact
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of engaging with leaders from diverse teams like partnerships, product, engineering, and sales
    • Proven ability to excel in environments of influence without direct authority
    • Strike a good balance between business and technical acumen
    • Can execute with minimal guidance, even in ambiguous contexts
    Preferred qualifications
    • Background in the payments ecosystem, finance, or fintech is beneficial
    • Experience facilitating large meetings with a focus on goals and outcomes
    • Ability to establish trust and collaborate with senior executives and CXOs
    • Proven experience in driving innovative solutions and positively impacting the roadmap of cross-functional teams
    • Understanding the implications of Stripe initiatives, such as product features, policy changes, and marketing efforts, on user experience and support outcomes
