    Process Engineering Intern

    Ace Controls, a leader in deceleration and vibration technology and part of the Stabilus global group of companies, is seeking a Process Engineering Intern for the Summer of 2024.

    The Process Engineering Intern will work with our Operations and Manufacturing Engineering Team at our Farmington Hills, MI offices on a project to optimize the efficiency of the layout and labor of our production areas. We are flexible on the schedule, but the Intern can work up to full-time if desired. This will be a day-shift position which will last for approximately 3 months starting in April or May. We can work around summer classes and/or vacation plans.

    Responsibilities:

    • Conducting time studies on each of our production lines.
    • Assessing and helping to bring production lines into balance.
    • Proposing different scenarios to set the lines.
    • Helping to calculate the optimum headcount for our various production areas.
    • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

    Requirements:

    • Current college student pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or a related discipline
    • CAD experience is not required.
    • Excellent computer skills including strong working knowledge of Microsoft applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, or Access
    • Outstanding communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
    • Detail oriented, self-starter
    • Project management and problem-solving skills
