R30946 Operations Technician:
The starting rate for this position is $30.948 This rate represents a good faith estimate for this position.

(Specific rate to be determined, but not limited to, geographic location, education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data).

Operates the Crosslinkers ECA production units in Los Angeles.

Responsible for the batch production of quality product in a safe, efficient, and timely manner, while adhering to all procedures, environmental policies, and regulations.

Maintains training certifications to effectively operate the production process. Responsible for operating and maintaining the facility and equipment in specified, safe working order.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Safely handling hazardous materials (flammable, corrosive, and toxic).
  • Operate fork trucks understanding the potential hazards such as puncturing drums/totes, tipping a load, and injuring pedestrians
  • Packaging finished goods /intermediates into drums, totes, or pails.
  • Load/unload drums and containers from truck trailers
  • Clean filters, connect and move hoses, operate pumps and meters
  • Executing batch recipes safely, efficiently, and per procedure
  • Meeting production schedule and batch target cycle times
  • Maintaining proper and accurate batch documentation
  • Documenting Reactor Accountability Database (RAD) comments on deviations and downtimes
  • Pulling raw materials for upcoming batches
  • Communicating operational issues or delays to lead operator.
  • Entering work notification for maintenance of equipment
  • Communicating shift turnover information
  • Performing housekeeping and ensuring cleanliness of the workspace is always maintained.
  • Organizing storage and staging areas
  • Properly labeling containers per DOT/RCRA Hazardous waste compliance
  • Eliminating waste wherever possible

REQUIREMENTS:


  • High school diploma or GED; relevant experience preferred.
  • Forklift certification preferred.


  • Basic computer skills

  • Microsoft Office, SAP (preferred)
  • Able to work 12 hour rotating shifts.
  • Good communication skills vocal and written.
  • Strong commitment to safety
