    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Continuous Improvement of chemical processes:
    Identify, develop and implement process improvements at one or more production units.

    Benchmarking of the existing processes based on KPIs including recommendations for the optimization of production costs.


    Initiating studies, projects or task forces to investigate and solve technical problems or plant upsets in the production units in interdisciplinary teams and various stakeholders.

    Initiating, planning and implementing field tests or plant trials.

    Know-how exchange with other department and worldwide sister plants.


    Project Responsible Role:
    Implementing technical improvements or new processes in new projects in accordance with economical, safety, environmental and Site's requirements.


    Taking over Project Responsible role or acting as support to the Project Responsible according to Evonik's Technical Standard during planning, construction and start-up of small capital expenditure projects.

    Including interfacing with all disciplines involved in the projects and with production units.


    Considering environmental issues, job and plant safety and occupational health at an early stage of operational improvements, making sure that the activities follow the policies of the ESHQ guidelines and Responsible Care.


    REQUIREMENTS
    Bachelor or Master

    in Chemical Engineering or relevant.

    Chemical plant

    experience is preferable.

    Experience in Process Engineering

    is preferable.

    Advanced process and analytic skills

    to understand complex chemical processes. Intensive know-how of chemical unit operations (reaction, filtration, drying...)

    Hands-on attitude


    to support operations in troubleshooting, plant trials, the technicians in the field and laboratory when working on equipment and process.

    Communication skills

    to foster know-how exchange within site and with other sites

    Curiosity for digital tools

    and notions in process controls.

    Basic experience in project management

    and coordinating the work of others.

    Creativity

    to develop out-of-the-box solutions
