    Job Title: Marketing and Events Coordinator

    Company: Ascendant New York

    Job Description:

    Ascendant New York is seeking a motivated Marketing and Events Coordinator to assist in the planning, execution, and promotion of various events and marketing campaigns. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in event coordination, digital marketing, and brand promotion. The ideal candidate should be organized, creative, and passionate about marketing and events.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Assist in the planning and coordination of events, including venue selection, logistics, and vendor management.
    2. Manage supervisor's calendar and correspondence assisting with scheduling.
    3. Support the development and execution of marketing campaigns across multiple channels, including social media, email, and online advertising.
    4. Create engaging content for social media platforms to promote events and increase brand awareness.
    5. Execute customer service-oriented communications including but not limited to emails and phone calls.
    6. Collaborate with team members to brainstorm creative ideas and strategies for event attendance and engagement.
    7. Provide on-site support during events, including setup, registration, and attendee interaction.
    8. Any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
    Educational Preferences:
    • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Associate's degree program, preferably in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
    • Strong academic performance with a minimum GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale).
    • Relevant coursework or previous experience in marketing, event planning, or related areas is preferred.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and social media platforms.
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
    Duration: This is a per-diem position with a duration of 9 months, with potential for extension based on performance

    Location: Midtown East, Manhattan. In-person required
