- High school and some college credits related to the position.
- Three (3) years clerical experience.

- Ability to work with diverse publics, exhibiting patience and high-quality customer service skills to students, staff, and visitors.
- Previous experience in admissions and/or registration related activities.
- Experience working in a call center.
- Ability to understand and operate appropriate office equipment, including personal computers and working knowledge of department-specific software.
- Writing Skills: Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
- Communication Skills: Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from prospective and current employees, and groups of managers.
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

The Clerk A will provide clerical support for Registration Services' operations, including assisting Registration Associates, serving in the Answer Center, and courteous customer service in online, over-the-phone, and face-to-face interactions.
