Summary of position/daily activities:

The Microfiche File Clerk is responsible for organizing and filing microfiche records in a warehouse setting. This role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently. This work is targeted for completion by the end of May at the latest.


Key Responsibilities

  • Microfiche Organization:
  • Place microfiche currently contained in boxes into file cabinets
  • Ensure proper updating of progress with replacing microfiche
  • Quality Control:
  • Ensure the accuracy of microfiche placement within storage cabinets.
  • Verify that files are correctly labeled and filed in the appropriate sequence.
  • Confidentiality:
  • Handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
  • Adhere to security protocols when accessing and handling microfiche records.

Working Conditions

  • The Microfiche File Clerk works primarily in a warehouse environment.
  • Work involves standing, bending, and lifting in a spaceconstrained area.
  • Exposure to dust and lowlight conditions due to microfiche readers.

Basic qualifications/experience (the _

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to lift and move boxes of microfiche (up to 20 lbs).
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and record keeping.

$ $27.00 per hour
