    The Company

Metropolis is an artificial intelligence company for the real world. Metropolis' computer vision platform enables people to transact in the physical world with even greater ease than we experience online. Today, we are reimagining parking. Because it's important, it's everywhere, and impacts everyone - enabling millions of consumers to just "drive in and drive out" - that's it. Tomorrow, we will power "checkout-free" experiences anywhere you go.

    The Role

In this role, you will drive successful outcomes across broad, multi-functional projects and initiatives to achieve Metropolis's goals and vision. You will research, shape, and inform decision-making across the business. You will work in a variety of domains spanning multiple projects to deliver results.

This position reports to the office of the CTO. Team priorities are set by the Chief of Staff to the CTO and CXPO.

    • Supply Chain Optimization: Identify opportunities and implement solutions to improve the way we forecast and manage hardware inventory.
    • System Performance Analysis: Analyze system performance in select areas to direct product and engineering teams towards opportunity areas.
    • Engineering Productivity Optimization: Work with our Engineering leaders to design and implement improvements to our onboarding, training, and Developmnent processes.
As a Technical Project Manager - Special Projects, you will have input into which initiatives you work on and own, based on your skillset, interests, and growth goals. You will also be able to recommend new initiatives based on your observations as you get up-to-speed on all things Metropolis.

    Responsibilities
    • Project Planning and Management: You will be responsible for planning projects, establishing requirements, milestones and exit criteria, and delivery timelines. Once a project is kicked off, you will be responsible for executing the developed plan with high-quality and ensuring completion on time and on budget.
    • Relationship Building: As part of your role, you will establish and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, at all levels of leadership, to support successful project delivery. This will require regular flexing of "leadership and influence without authority" skills.
    • Status Reporting and Communication: You will regularly report on project status to direct management and senior leadership. This will require a strong ability to tailor your communications to the audience.
    • Opportunity Identification: Early projects in your tenure will be selected for you based on business priorities and your skillset, but over time you will be expected to identify new opportunity areas and propose projects worth prioritizing.
    • Subject Matter Expertise: You will be expected to rapidly develop subject matter expertise on Metropolis products and technologies and the industry.

    • Excellent time management, organizational, and deadline-management skills
    • Experience working in a highly collaborative environment
    • Ability to exhibit leadership and influence without authority
    • Strong sense of personal accountability and independent decision making
    • Ability to predict challenges and seek to proactively head-off obstacles
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proven success working with all levels of management. Capable of simplifying complex problems for a diverse audience

    • 3+ years of professional work experience in technology product or project management, management consulting, or investment banking
When you join Metropolis, you'll join a team of world-class product leaders and engineers, building an ecosystem of technologies at the intersection of parking, mobility, and real estate. Our goal is to build an inclusive culture where everyone has a voice and the best idea wins. You will play a key role in building and maintaining this culture as our organization grows.
