    Director, Human Resources, Operations - Orlando, United States - Gategroup

    We are searching for enthusiastic individuals to contribute to improving everyone's experiences.

    Top Human Resources Leader for a significant operational business department, in charge of creating and executing HR strategies for operational management, including supporting with workforce and labor planning.

    Main Responsibilities:
    • Acts as a strategic partner with the General Manager and leadership team to grasp business goals and establish HR strategies to adapt to evolving requirements.
    • Collaborates with operations and recruitment teams to recognize workforce needs and enhances local recruitment strategies.
    • Develops programs in partnership with operations and other departments to foster employee engagement and retention.
    • Directs human resource strategies, programs, and processes throughout the unit.
    • Supervises all human resources staff within the unit.
    • Handles all local labor relations matters and sustains positive relationships with key stakeholders.
    • Organizes investigations and responses to employment claims from different agencies.
    • Provides guidance to the management team on various HR aspects, employee relations, and compliance.
    • Collaborates with operations and training teams to identify training needs and develop programs; oversees new employee onboarding.
    • Manages performance evaluations ensuring alignment with unit objectives and conducts reviews bi-annually.
    • Leads talent review process, establishes succession plans, and addresses talent gaps.
    • Ensures consistent application of company policies, procedures, and laws.
    • Resolves employee relations disputes and provides training to the management team.
    • Audits units for HR compliance.
    • Contributes to the HR and organizational mission by completing related tasks.
    Qualifications:
    • Education: Bachelor degree required; Preferably a Masters in a related field or MBA.
    • Work Experience: 8-10 years' experience in progressive HR roles, with at least 5 years in Labor Relations/Union and Employee Relations, and 5 years in a supervisory capacity.
    • Technical Skills: Proficiency in multi-lingual abilities, state and federal employment law, business acumen, leadership, negotiation, and more.
    • Language / Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
