    Description
    A multibillion-dollar energy utility client, is leading the clean energy transition in New York City and Westchester County.

    This client is currently looking to add a Clean Energy Engineer to their Area Station Planning group within the Distribution Planning org.

    The Engineer will perform load flow studies to support the sub-transmission feeder and area substation supply to the distribution system.

    You will be responsible for performing non-traditional load relief alternatives including the implementation of customer and utility-sided distributed energy resourced (DER) as area substation load relief solutions.


    This is a technical planning group and the Engineer will help assume primary responsibility in the preparation of Ten-Year and Long-Term Area Substation Load Relief Programs for designated operational regions.

    The team collaborates regularly with other engineering disciplines and groups internally to determine the long term impact at the substation level of interconnected DER to the electric grid.

    This is an excellent opportunity to join a quickly growing team within a highly reputable / major utility


    • Strong interpersonal skills with a background giving executive level presentations
    • 35+ years of hands on experience as an Engineer within the clean energy industry
    • Background working in load relief management / planning
    • Knowledge of Load Flow analysis programs and a working understanding of database applications
    • Experience with Transmission systems, Area Substations and/or 4kV Substation planning or operations
    • Bachelor's Degree
