CACI is seeking a Project Engineering Manager to join our Engineering team on a contract supporting Department of Homeland Security.
The Project Engineering Manager will oversee Information Technology (IT) projects in architecture and engineering services in the enterprise environment, varying in scope and complexity, supporting a 24/7/365 environment at DHS sites in the National Capital Region.
They will work closely with other teams, departments, and organizations to successfully manage these projects from cradle to grave.About the Role:
Serve as a Project Engineering Manager responsible for successful project planning, implementation, and closeout of all projects assigned to the Project Engineering Team
Additional Responsibilities include:
All areas of Project Management from initiation through closeout, ensuring the successful execution of the project in support of government customer's mission, goals, and objectives.
Manage a team of mixed skill sets, including Network Architects, VoIP Architects, Network, Systems, and Unified Communication Engineers, junior to senior level Project Managers, and Project Technicians.
Interview and select candidates to fulfill technical requirements.
Manage performance of team and conduct employee evaluations.
Document and manage all issues and risks, developing and maintaining a risk register and mitigation plan.
Prepare and facilitate a bi-weekly Project Management Review (PMR) providing project status, ROM status, risks and issues, for 40+ active projects.
Facilitate all necessary internal and external project meetings, to include requirements gathering, project kick-off, technical exchange meetings, design review, project status meeting, project closeout meetings and all ad-hoc and post-mortem meetings necessary.
Work across the program to manage the transition of projects from engineering to O&M, cyber architecture, and solution development, to systems integration.
Develop and implement a project process that aligns with the HOD Project lifecycle and existing processes and provide recommendations for process development and improvement, including the use of ServiceNow PPM.
Work closely with the Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Technical Operations Manager, to identify technology improvements and innovation opportunities, aligning to the DHS Strategic Roadmap.

Track and manage initiatives, deliverables, customer relations, and project management reviews.
Develop and produce documentation, reports, and presentation slide decks.
Prepare and present briefing materials to staff, executives, and federal customers. Interactions involve client meetings and interfacing with senior management.
Required Qualifications:
Ability to obtain TS/SCI DoD Security Clearance (active TS preferred)
Ability to obtain Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Entry On Duty (EOD) - Active EOD preferred
B.A./B.S. or equivalent + 10 years of relevant experience
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
Previous experience in a supervisory role managing or leading an engineering project team.
Previous experience establishing and maintain a project process using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies
Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
Strong Microsoft Office experience, predominantly Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and Project
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous DHS or DoD experience
Any of the following certifications is highly desired:
COMPTIA A+, or Network+, or Security+
ITIL Foundation
Other IT technical certifications
ServiceNow Project Portfolio Management
