Onsite position in our Herndon, VA headquarters; possible four-day in office schedule with one day remote.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
A bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required to ensure a strong foundation for success in this role3-5 years of accounting/finance experienceExperience with contracts and subcontracts managementExperience with federal government contractingThorough knowledge of FAR, U.S.
GAAP and DCAA complianceExcellent verbal and written communication abilities across all levels of an organizationExperience with Unanet, QuickBooks and ADP Workforce Now, or similar systemsPosition Responsibilities:
As a Senior Accountant/Account Manager, you will be at the forefront of our financial operations, playing a critical role in steering our fiscal success.
General Accounting Support:
Manage accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger and tax functions.
Audit and Compliance:
Conduct audits and reviews to ensure adherence to contract specifications and financial regulations.
Support the year-end financial audit.
Payroll Oversight:
Oversee and support the payroll process.
Financial Analysis:
Direct and oversee the preparation of financial analyses, including trending, variance analysis, and interpretations based on results.
System Migration Support:
Ability to support the migration of accounting systems to new platforms such as Unanet.
Contract and Subcontract Management:
Support Contract and Subcontract management, including tracking burn rates and project status.
Project Financial Monitoring:
Support and take responsibility for monitoring project financials, analyzing costs, and ensuring overall project profitability.
