Job Description

Our client is a $30M government contractor in rapid growth mode. They are looking to add a Senior Accountant to their team, that will report into their Controller. The company works on highly classified contracts and this role would allow for the person to obtain a clearance.

This is a permanent, direct hire opportunity with above market benefits

Responsibilities:

Gather, review, analyze and record financial information to the general ledger. Complete monthly closings general ledger and account maintenance.
Maintains and balances subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies to ensure general ledger account information is accurate, consistent, traceable, and auditable.
Manage and record and review transactions in a timely and accurate manner.
Assist with financial statement preparation for monthly, quarterly and annual reporting.
Assisting with external annual audit by analyzing and scheduling general ledger accounts and providing information for auditors.
Investigating and resolving audit findings, account discrepancies and issues of non-compliance
