Job DescriptionDescriptionClient is seeking a dedicated and motivated individual with strong attention to detail and organization to join our research and development team as the laboratory technician This position requires a person who has some knowledge of laboratory duties and/or biological sciences.
The candidate will perform comprehensive clinical laboratory procedures of low and high complexity as directed by the laboratory manager.
General responsibilities include maintenance of laboratory equipment, data entry, maintenance of laboratory records including quality control, instrument logs, and inventory of reagents and supplies.
CORE FUNCTIONSPerform preparation of reagents and controlsPerform daily and weekly maintenance of equipment per SOPs (standard operating procedures) and any other applicable documentationMaintain laboratory and equipment clean and functional (On the job training will be provided)Perform all tasks related toclinical sample testing (blood, urine), including sample receipt, log-in, sample preparation and testing, recording test results, and disposing of samplesOrganize stock and maintains inventory; order stock as neededAdhere to existing safety standardsand help improve laboratory safety practices whenever possibleProvide support to direct and extended R&D team as necessary This list of duties and responsibilities is not intended to be all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties or responsibilities as necessary.Perform all other duties as assigned
CORE REQUIREMENTSAssociate Degree- with 3 years' experience4-year bachelor's degree (Chemistry, Biology, or other STEM related field) with 0-2 years' experienceExperience with urine chemistry and/or hematology diagnostic testing and instrumentation preferred
