- Providing guidance and education on HR-related inquiries to help employees thrive across the employee lifecycle while ensuring that communication is aligned with the practices established by the Credit Union.
- Conducting workplace investigations and effectively manage employee relations issues with management.
- Managing leave of absences and worker's compensation claims. This includes educating, communicating, designating leave types based on federal and/or state laws, sending paperwork, obtaining medical reports, and performing other relevant tasks.
- Collaborating and supporting all efforts in the deployment of HR initiatives and engagement programs that fosters a positive work environment.
- Supporting in the creation, development, and implementation of policies & procedures to align with changes in federal/state law and best practices.
- Ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations, laws, and rules and completing all legal federal/state forms (e.g. nondiscrimination testing, EEO-1, 5500).
- Performing other HR tasks to support the day-to-day operations of the HR department. This includes acting as the back up for payroll processing and benefits administration.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree
- Certification: SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR
- 3 years of experience with employee relations and conducting workplace investigations.
- 3 years of experience with leave of absence administration.
- 3 years of experience implementing HR policies and procedures based on federal/state law.
- 1 year experience assisting with benefits administration.
- 1 year experience using Excel, Word, Outlook including experience working with advanced formulas such as Vlookup in Excel.

Currently, we have an immediate opening for a Human Resources Generalist to join our team. The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for supporting employees throughout their employee lifecycle. This includes but is not limited to educating employees on policies & procedures, handling simple employee relations matters, managing leave of absence/worker's compensation, acting as the backup for payroll & benefits administration, and ensuring practices, processes, policies reflect any legal changes
