    **Job Description Summary**

    The Manufacturing Engineer Intern will provide support to the Manufacturing Engineering team to enable production to meet the ship schedule and provide a high-quality product to Paratas customers. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, adaptability, and a willingness to work in a collaborative team environment are skills that will support a high level of success in this position.

    **Responsibilities:**

    + Provide manufacturing floor operations support to include:

    + Improving and maintaining manufacturing process instructions

    + Supporting lean efforts to improve cell layout, replenishment, 5S, standard work, visual management, and quality at the source

    + Improving and maintaining Kanbans and other replenishment processes to ensure components are always available and properly accounted for.

    + Manage labor standards/rates as tools to drive efficiency improvement and ensure accurate financial absorption.

    + Design and implement fixtures and processes to support manufacturing operations.

    + Support manufacturing refurb process improvements.

    + Support manufactured product quality continuous improvement efforts.

    + Perform other duties assigned to meet business needs.

    **Experience and Educational requirements:**

    + Must be a current student working towards a bachelors degree in Engineering

    + Excellent analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills

    + Ability to thrive in a fast-paced team-oriented environment

    + Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to work across a variety of departments

    + Multi-tasking and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks

    + Appreciation and awareness for Manufacturing demand and prioritization

    + Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and Outlook
