- Conduct experimental research utilizing various tumor models, dietary interventions, immune cell depletion and adoptive transfer techniques
- Characterize immune-cell-intrinsic changes through phenotypic, transcriptional, and metabolomic analyses
- Investigate role of genes and pathways in modulating immune system function in vivo and in vitro primary cell culture using CRISPR modification, etc.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including experts in immunology, aging, metabolism, and tumor biology, to integrate and expand research findings
- Publish and present research outcomes in scientific journals and conferences, contributing to the broader scientific community
- PhD in immunology highly preferred; PhD in cancer biology, molecular biology, or a related field acceptable
- Hands-on experience with in vivo techniques, including mouse handling/injection, tissue harvest, and isolation of immune cells
- Proficiency in standard molecular and cellular laboratory techniques such as flow cytometry, CRISPR, single-cell RNAseq, ELISA, Western Blot, primary cell culture
- Curiosity driven with strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with a capacity to conduct independent research
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills for effective collaboration and dissemination of research findings
- Technical expertise in the following areas: multi-color flow cytometry, primary immune cell culture, and mouse tumor models
- Experience with CRISPR screening technologies, working with genomics datasets, and/or competency in python/R-based data analysis
- Background in metabolism research (Seahorse, metabolomics data interpretation)

Calico is seeking an energetic, enthusiastic and highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow to join the Harding lab to work on a project at the intersection of immuno-oncology and aging biology.
The researcher will be deeply involved in understanding the interplay between aging, metabolism, immune system function, and cancer biology, utilizing state-of-the-art technologies and methodologies.
The postdoc will receive comprehensive training and mentorship with a unique opportunity to collaborate with Calico's diverse scientific community within the oncology, aging, and discovery technology groups.
