    Job Description

    This position will function as part of the Inventory Control team with responsibility to monitor inventory operations for the Outfit Fabrication Facility, Structural Fabrication Facility and Warehousing.


    Responsibilities include:

    • Assisting with the planning and executing the GDBIW Inventory Control Plan.
    • Processing and auditing inventory.
    • Reporting for internal and external users.
    • Supporting accurate inventory and capacity reports. Assisting with Warehousing initiatives as assigned.
    • Assisting with weekly metrics and reporting.
    • Assist with resolving material and database issues.
    • Assisting with government audits.
    Required/Preferred Education/Training

    • BS degree in business management / logistics, or Graduate GDBIW Apprentice preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
    • Experience performing inventory operations required.
    • Knowledge of continuous process improvement methodology required.
    Required/Preferred Experience

    Required:

    • Knowledge of material handling and inventory control practices.
    • PC skills required (Microsoft Office suite including Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities.
    • Written and oral communication.
    • Able to work in a production environment (inside, outside, sun, rain, snow, hot, cold, dust, and climbing of stairs).
    • Self-motivated individual with positive attitude.
    • Problem solving ability and conflict resolution.
    • Proven customer service track record.
    • Ability to work individually and in a team environment.

    Preferred:

    • Experience working in an organized labor environment.
    • Prior successful supervisory experience.
    • CICSP, MACPAC and SAP knowledge.
