Position Purpose:


The Team Lead will be the Subject Matter Expert and is the primary focal point accountable to the AXion Site Lead in managing the day-to-day Materials and Warehouse Management functions.


Duties & Responsibilities:


AXion Warehouse Team Lead will:

  • Provide Health, Safety, Security and Environmental (HSSE) leadership for the Axion Materials Management Team, to include the consistent attainment of the following key measures:
  • Zero health or safety incidents
  • Zero environmental incidents
  • Zero security incidents
  • Successful achievement of each Key Performance Indicator (KPI)
  • Provide onthejob training for new employees and additional training for existing employees when needed.
  • Manage the performance of employees, including periodically reviewing job descriptions; providing ongoing training; giving feedback in the form of coaching or counseling as needed.
  • Accountable for the material management program that encompasses the endtoend process for receiving, tracking, storage, issuing and the overall management of materials until final use.
  • May also facilitate the appropriate disposition of materials that might remain postevent and in the best interest of the customer and site. This might involve return of inventory to supplier for credit, transfer of inventory to another project with corresponding financial adjustments, etc.
  • Develop and maintain key metrics and key performance indicators.
  • Work with vendors to solve receiving issues due to OS&D.
  • Work with vendors to initiate material return process for excess material post event.
  • Accountability for warehouse facilities, storage yards, and their reliability and availability.
  • Accountable to create, implement and oversee materials management plans that provide reliable inventory and successfully supports the manufacturing site.
  • Work with and be part of the Contracting and Procurement (CP)/Materials Management (MM) Team to ensure inventory reliability and accuracy.
  • Interface with endusers maintenance, technical, operations, turnaround, project, and other sitebased customers, as well as CP leads and suppliers on daytoday operations.
  • Represent AXion in customer operations meetings to ensure needs and challenges are understood and appropriate action plans are developed and executed.

Qualifications:


  • BS/BA degree in logistics, transportation, supply chain management, engineering, manufacturing, or business preferred.
  • Significant work experience in Materials & Warehouse Management, or substantial diverse plant operations background/maintenance experience.
  • Detailed industrial equipment and materials knowledge.
  • Proven leadership skills, including the ability to lead and manage change, reliability, and teamwork.
  • Ability to see and understand the customer's viewpoint and needs and to address them with appropriate collaborative solutions.
  • Ability to develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Capable of delivering results and meeting aggressive timelines.
  • Work process mapping skills/experience.
  • Strong problemsolving and implementation planning skills.
  • Effective interpersonal and team building skills.
  • Excellent computer skills (MS Office Suite).
  • Intimate Knowledge of SAP MM/WM or equivalent
  • Highly developed critical analysis skills and creative thinking.
  • Basic Plus or Equivalent Required
  • Forklift Experience Required
  • Pass a Functional Assessment verifying their ability to kneel, squat, lift and carry 50lbs, climb ladders, etc.
