Required Skills
Experience with any kind of HRIS tool (e.g. Workday or similar product)
Bachelor's degree in HR or related field
3-5 years of experience in HR management, preferably in a manufacturing environment
Problem solving personality and be able to provide examples of problems you needed to address, what your creative process was for coming up with a solution
Day-to-Day
HR administrative tasks, managing employee data in Workday. Timekeeping in Kronos. Making sure payroll is complete. Take initiative, address concerns on the floor. A bit of a background with safety – make sure safety at the plant is taken care of. Bilingual (fluent in Spanish) lots of light industrial workers at the plant speak Spanish. Will collaborate with plant leadership (there's 1 supervisor right now and they are hiring one more) to manage performance issues and any employee issues on the floor. Completing daily and monthly reports as necessary. Experience with onboarding and orientations and hiring and completing of I-9s. From a scheduling standpoint this person will work about 7am-3:30-4ish pm. Assisting to make sure that the floor and plant is properly scheduled and staffed. Someone with a strong generalist background and a leadership personality would be great. This person will answer general benefits related questions from employees but will not expected to be a benefits expert or involved in any benefits administration. Similarly, they will only review and approve timecards on a bi-weekly basis and answer paycheck related questions but this person will not be administering or running payroll hands-on themselves.
