Winchester House is a 7-story 80-unit building of independent living apartments for low income seniors located in downtown Winchester, Virginia


Job Overview:

Duties:


  • Work with residents and families to assist in coping with illness, diagnosis and/or other life situations providing resources as needed to maintain independence and safety within the home or assist to provide information and help facilitate other care options available in the greater community
  • Assist residents and families at move in and the post move in adjustment period
  • Coordinate health and wellness educations for residents (and families) on various topics
  • Assist in connecting residents with needed services
  • Support and embrace company policies and procedures and follow federally required mandates
  • Communicate proactively and effectively being mindful and respectful of diversity and confidentiality
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 4year degree in nursing, case management, human services, or social work
Experience in senior care living environments

  • Knowledge of dementia care, senior care, and working with people with developmental disabilities
  • Understanding of resident rights and advocacy

Job Type:
Part-time


Pay:
$ $24.00 per hour
