    The Pricing and Value Team assists lawyers in developing client-centered pricing proposals that win work while producing positive financial results for the Firm. The Pricing Analyst will utilize sophisticated pricing models to analyze alternative fee arrangements, requests for proposals and client and matter profitability as well as other Pricing and Value Team projects and initiatives.

    This cross-functional role will work with a wide spectrum of Finance, Legal Project Management & Business Development professionals. The ideal candidate is comfortable juggling many different priorities and is client-service focused and detail-oriented. Experience with legal pricing, law firm economics, and financial modeling is highly desired. Experience in Corporate transactions is a plus.

    Responsibilities
    • Prepare models and templates to support analysis of a wide array of fee proposals utilizing Firm financial metrics.
    • Run profitability and sensitivity analyses to help Department Chairs and the New Business Committee fully evaluate fee proposals and make appropriate business decisions for the Firm.
    • Assist in the development and implementation of new pricing services and tracking mechanisms to generate new business and manage the success of existing arrangements.
    • Facilitate efficient implementation of pricing proposals.
    • Contribute to the creation and automation of matter budgets and matter management initiatives in collaboration with the Legal Project Management team.
    • Develop a strong understanding of the Firm's departments, practice groups, and clients to help develop strategic planning and pricing initiatives.
    Qualifications
    • Higher education degree required. Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics strongly preferred.
    • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. Previous pricing or legal industry experience highly desired.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Exceptional attention to detail.
    • Ability to set priorities and manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
    • Ability to identify and analyze multi-faceted problems and recommend solutions.
    • Team player with capacity to work collaboratively with a diverse team and build relationships across the Firm.
    • Strong technical skills, including sophisticated Excel skills and a high level of proficiency in Word and PowerPoint required. Experience in using data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau) desired
    • Experience with SQL, VBA, and Power BI desired.
    • Ability to protect and maintain confidential and sensitive information
    • Flexibility to adjust work schedule according to workload demands.
    This position will require periodic physical presence in Proskauer's office on a weekly basis. The anticipated compensation range for this position is $110,000 - $140,000. The actual salary offered will be based on a number of factors including but not limited to the qualifications of the applicant, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
