Mitsubishi Electric Power Products (MEPPI) serves the North American power systems, rail transportation, and large visual display markets with electrical and electronic products, systems, and services.
***MEPPI is looking for a Regional Sales Contract Manager to oversee the functions related to the development of new business opportunities, contract, and customer order creation.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Develop business opportunities by identifying and developing new customer leads. Establish introductions and schedule meetings between new customer leads and Regional Sales and Project Managers.
- Prepare and present quotes to customers, including preparation and submission of RFP documentation. Followup and close renewal contracts prior to expiration, upsell to higher levels of service. Identify and project customer budget cycles, close dates, and revenue recognition dates.
- Create and distribute renewal agreements to Regional Sales and Project Managers for yearly customer meetings.
- Ensure proper invoicing of service contracts and extended warranties.
- Develop contracts within the business system including the planning and scheduling of invoicing, service, and renewal tasks for the duration of the contract.
- Create customer orders for contracts. Process and maintain customer orders in the business system.
- Create monthly reports including past due contracts and Deferred Contract Revenue.
- Collaborate with MEPPI and MEUS on contract terms and conditions, prevailing wage processes and protocols, and government contract regulations and requirements.
- Review commercial terms and conditions, negotiate acceptable positions, and administer sales and business contracts accordingly to minimize risk on business transactions.
- Analyze and resolve account disputes and billing discrepancies for contracts.
- Prepare and maintain tools to generate service pricing based on costs, target margins and other established parameters.
- Collaborate with sales team on strategies to increase revenue.
- Further the goals and positive, professional image of CPT by conducting business with outside contacts and other MEPPI departments in a timely and cooperative manner.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in businessrelated field with a minimum of 5 years of business development and contract experience, or equivalent education and experience.
- Advanced negotiation and customer service skills.
- Advanced analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Advanced interpersonal, communication and presentation skills required to communicate with customers, employees, and vendors.
- Ability to work in a team environment and on several projects simultaneously.
- Advanced computer skills, with emphasis on MS Office products and experience with ERP and/or CRM systems
