- Develop opportunities with DOD customers (both prime contract holders and DOD sponsors), understand their needs, and serve as the voice of the customer within Eridan.
- Proactively spot and develop new opportunities for Eridan within these organizations.
- Advocate for the use of direct polar transmitters to solve DOD RF use cases.
- Balance the need to satisfy DOD customers with the imperative not to be distracted from commercial development paths and ensure DOD technical project requirements are appropriately placed in the overall company development plan.
- Cultural fluency within the DOD ecosystem
- Track record of leading business development efforts within the DOD ecosystem, ideally in RF applications
- Deep understanding of DOD R&D and procurement organization, key prime contractors and how they operate, contracting vehicles, and paths to funding within this framework
- Excellent communication skills, and ability to play translator between DOD organizations and a Silicon Valley startup
- Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent work experience
- Comfort with MS project or similar project management tools
- Background in RF in DOD applications

Eridan is looking for a part-time DOD Business Development Manager (Part Time- Contract) to develop new opportunities for both NRE and product revenue within the DOD ecosystem.
Eridan's switch-mode direct polar architecture radio is uniquely power-efficient, precise, and tunable, opening doors for a variety of applications within the defense and public safety space. Eridan has already been awarded over $20M in DOD funding and intends to continue to develop this revenue stream. You'll be working closely to support our CEO in serving as the face of Eridan within the DOD ecosystem, and you'll be responsible for developing relationships with DOD R&D and procurement functions as well as traditional and non-traditional DOD prime contractors, to identify and close opportunities for NRE and product revenue that are highly aligned with our commercial objectives.
A successful DOD Business Development Manager will be a highly skilled communicator, able to translate between commercial and technical roles, and with the ability to "hear between the lines" to understand what a customer wants, not just what they are asking for. You'll also be willing to maintain a disciplined focus only on those opportunities that support our commercial objectives.
