- Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract top skilled trades and professional talent utilizing various sourcing methods including job boards, social media, networking, referrals, and industry events.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to understand their staffing needs and requirements for all open positions.
- Conduct thorough candidate assessments, including resume reviews, phone screens, and in-person interviews, to evaluate qualifications, skills, and fit for specific roles.
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle from sourcing to offer negotiation, ensuring a seamless and positive candidate experience.
- Build and maintain a network of skilled trades professionals and industry contacts to proactively identify and engage potential candidates.
- Utilize our ADP applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other recruitment tools to track candidate activity, maintain accurate records, and generate recruitment metrics and reports.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, labor market conditions, and best practices in skilled trades recruitment to build recruitment strategies and initiatives.
- Provide guidance and support to other team members who may assist in the recruitment process as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in highly technical skilled trades recruitment, preferably in a senior or lead role.
- Proficiency in applicant tracking systems (ATS), recruitment software, and other relevant technology tools.
- Proven ability to recruit for a wide range of skilled trades positions, with a strong understanding of industry-specific qualifications, certifications, and requirements.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively engage and influence candidates, hiring managers, and stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced recruitment environment.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality in handling sensitive information and candidate interactions.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport and maintain relationships with candidates, colleagues, and external partners.
- Extended periods of sitting and working at a computer workstation.
- Use of hands and fingers for typing, writing, and operating computer equipment.
- Occasional lifting of materials and supplies up to 20 pounds.
- Ability to travel to attend job fairs, networking events, and client meetings as needed.
- High level of concentration and attention to detail when reviewing resumes, conducting interviews, and evaluating candidates.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and competing priorities in a fast-paced recruitment environment.
- Effective stress management skills to navigate tight deadlines, changing priorities, and challenging recruitment scenarios.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities to assess candidate qualifications, assess fit for roles, and resolve recruitment challenges.
