- Manage general ledger and transactional accounting for various commercial, residential, and other entities as assigned.
- Lead the monthly close process, including standard journal entries, accruals, and intercompany transactions.
- Conduct and review account analysis to ensure accurate recording of transactions.
- Perform or oversee bank reconciliations.
- Prepare analysis to support the financial reporting package.
- Review Profit & Loss statements and prepare variance analysis.
- Input lease information into the accounting system.
- Handle Tenant CAM estimates and reconciliations.
- Maintain an average occupancy report and calculate percentage rent.
- Prepare Fixed Asset additions and disposals and maintain comparative analysis to capital budgets.
- Complete annual property tax filings.
- Independently manage and process payroll for the Real Estate division on a bi-weekly basis. Prepare monthly payroll-related journal entries and accruals.
- Continuously identify and implement opportunities to streamline or improve accounting processes.
- Assist with the annual budget process.
- Support audit schedules as required.
- Collaborate on special projects with the Controller as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- 4-7 years of work experience in accounting
- Previous experience with Oracle Accounting, Yardi, Excel, and handling accounting transactions for multiple divisions is preferred.
