Sr. Integrations Developer

This is a full-time position with our global Freight Forwarding and Logistics client located in Houston. All applicants must be able to work in the US without sponsorship.
This is a fully remote opportunity.

Description

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Design, develop, implement, and support highly complex API and EDI integrations for freight-forwarding applications that service air, ocean, customs brokerage, and logistics.
Collaborate with Product Owners on technical scoping and recommendations
Maintain consistent communication with leadership on status and impediments as they arise
Other duties as assigned

OTHER SKILLS/ABILITIES

Strong knowledge of relational databases and extensive experience with SQL scripting (TSQL/DDL/DML) - SQL Server preferred
Strong knowledge of scripting languages (JavaScript, Python, Ruby) for transformation requirements
Strong written and verbal skills, both business and technical
Ability to work independently and remain focused under time constraints
Strong communication skills with demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical team members
Strong proficiency in inbound and outbound interfaces for various transaction sets

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Talking, hearing and using hands to operate a computer keyboard, mouse and other computer components
Sitting for extended periods of time
Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's Degree in a related technical area or equivalent hands-on experience. Strong preference is given to those who have continued to upgrade their skills through education, training, and certifications.
2+ years of Dell Boomi development experience
3 to 5 years of ETL development experience with any leading platforms (Informatica/SnapLogic/Dell Boomi/Talend/Sterling Integrator)
Strong experience developing and consuming Web API/Services (JSON/XML) to develop real-time integrations with internal/external systems.
Any experience in Microsoft Development Stack is a Plus
Experience in trouble shooting with a penchant to provide high quality work is preferred
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment

CERTIFICATION AND LICENSES

Professional certification may be required in some areas.
