    Job purpose

    As a Human Resources Manager at PHINIA, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the success of the Aftermarket region in North America (NA). Your focus will be to develop the human resources strategy to support the business, including coaching, organizational development, recruitment, compensation, and safety. Dedicated to delivering high-quality customer service, you will foster teamwork and cultivate a professional and inclusive work environment. In this position, you will report to the North America General Manager and be part of North America Aftermarket Leadership Team (NALT). You will also become an integral part of the expansive PHINIA HR community, a dynamic, collaborative network that spans the globe, with passionate individuals working together from various locations.

    You will be at the forefront of developing and implementing human resources strategies that align with our business goals, fostering a culture of teamwork, empowerment, and continuous growth.     Key responsibilities

    Strategic Leadership

    You will be the Human Resources leader in the NA region, overseeing budget management, setting goals, and evaluating performance against established objectives. Your strategic mindset will contribute to the overall success of the HR function.
    • Act as an active member of the NALT, providing HR insights and strategies, and especially provide guidance to the North America General Manager on critical HR topics.
    • Collaborate with leadership to drive organizational change and motivate others to support it.
    • Implement new approaches, programs, and policies that enhance HR service quality.
    Employee Relations

    You'll be the go-to person for coaching, counseling, and policy guidance. Handling issues with timeliness and consistency, you'll contribute to a positive workplace environment, ensuring adherence to company policies for fair and equitable treatment of all employees.
    • Provide expert employment and career counseling to ensure employee satisfaction and motivation.
    • Build effective working relationships and communication channels across all levels of the organization.
    • Provide coaching and guidance to North America team members, fostering their professional growth and development.
    Talent Acquisition

    You'll lead an effective recruitment and selection process, identifying top talent, supporting diversity initiatives, and meeting local staffing needs. Your efforts will contribute to building a diverse and talented workforce.
    • Implement and maintain PHINIA's effective recruitment systems to attract top talent.
    Compliance Champion

    Ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations and maintaining accurate records. Your commitment to compliance will help create a fair and inclusive workplace.
    • Implement and comply with company-wide HR programs and policies to reduce legal and financial exposure.
    • Develop internal protocols for personnel disputes, grievances, misconduct, and policy infractions.
    Compensation and Benefits

    Support and administer PHINIA's comprehensive Total Rewards strategy throughout NA AFM to attract and retain top talent. Advise, guide, and support resolution of individual NA employee concerns.

    Talent Management & Development

    Spearhead employee and management talent and performance programs, identifying high-potential employees and implementing actionable development plans. Identify training needs, develop programs, and deliver training that supports workforce diversity efforts and enhances talent attraction, retention, and development.
    • Work with management to formulate a succession plan for key positions.
    • Implement and drive the PHINIA performance management systems ensuring alignment with business goals.
    • Develop and maintain training and development programs to enhance employee skills and capabilities.
    Community Ambassador

    Represent PHINIA at community activities and employee events, showcasing our commitment to both our employees and the communities we serve.

    What we're looking for

    Education/Experience - Basic Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field
    • 10+ Years of HR generalist experience: demonstrate progressively responsible HR experience, including supervisory role
    • 3+ years' experience with an HRIS system
    • Significant and demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
    Education/Experience - Preferred Qualifications:
    • Master's level education
    • Professional certifications (PHR, SPHR, GPHR or equivalent)
    • Experience in a global manufacturing environment
