- A Staff Accountant is responsible for maintaining financial procedures and confirming financial compliance through the preparation of a company's reports and statements.
- Managing the company's financial accounts, payroll, budget, cash receipts and financial assets.
- Reconcile bank statements.
- Organize and update financial records.
- Oversee Payroll and Vendor Payments
- Support monthly, quarterly, half-year, and year-end financial closes, including assigned journal entries, balance-sheet account reconciliations, accruals, and overall maintenance of operational management accounts.
- Conduct month-end and year-end closures.
- Prepare and file Sales Tax returns.
- Prepare cash flow, financial forecasting and risk analysis
- Prepare documentation for external auditors.
- Maintain confidentiality of company and client information
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a Staff Accountant
- Excellent use of Microsoft Office Word and Excel
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Professional experience in financial forecasting and risk analysis
- Confidentiality and integrity
- Degree in Accounting. CPA Preferred.
