    IMSolutions is looking for Federal Contracts Specialists to join us at our client the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).

    In this role you must possess

    a working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and agency supplements.

    These jobs will be fully remote - 100% telework in the U.S

    .

    As a


    Contracts Specialist II , you will have a critical role performing various pre-and post-contract and procurement responsibilities pertaining to the procurement of supplies, services, and equipment, which may include most all functions from cradle to grave in the acquisition life cycle.


    These functions will include:


    Apply established acquisition/purchasing regulations, policies, and procedures while assisting in the procurement of goods and services in a Federal Government environment.

    Prepare or review pre-procurement packages.
    Prepare and/or research support documentation.
    Make quality recommendations to the Contracting Officer/Grants Officer.
    Research, analyze, and validate relevant data.
    Complete tasks needed to successfully advertise, solicit, construct, award, administer, and/or close out Government contracts or task/delivery orders.

    Support the issuance of contracts, purchase orders, tracks status, and expedite orders according to customer requirements and in compliance with all related guidelines, policies, and procedures.

    To qualify you will have:


    6+ years of experience in planning, awarding, and administering contracts for the procurement of supplies, services, construction or research and development for the U.S.

    Federal Government.
    Bachelor's degree or at least 24 credit hours in business or a business-related field.
    Expert knowledge of the federal acquisition life cycle, including pre-solicitation, solicitation, award, contract administration, and closeout. (cradle to grave contracting)
    Possess working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and agency supplements.
    Experience in preparation of the Government's Business Clearance/Pre-and Post-Negotiation position for formal contract procedures.
    Experience leading the negotiation team as the principal contract negotiator and negotiating contract equitable adjustments; etc.

    Negotiation preparation - preparation of contract modifications, development of evaluation criteria, evaluation of contract performance, contract termination, and contract closeouts.

    Market research/analysis, selection and administration of contract terms and conditions, cost, and price analysis.
    U.S. Citizenship or Foreign National with a work permit and residing in the U.S. for three or more years.
    Ability to pass a Federal Public Trust Clearance, which must be adjudicated favorably for you to begin working. This requires fingerprinting and reporting on your previous employment, residence, education, and financial and legal background.

    Candidates may be disqualified for federal or state convictions of crimes, military court-martials, delinquent federal debt including taxes and student loans, current use of illegal drugs, or lying on their application.


    Base compensation range and benefits:
    $65,000 to $80,000 - Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location.
