    **Responsibilities**

    In this role, you will perform a full range of reception and financial screening duties for the low-income and homeless patients of a community based, primary health care clinic. You will provide exceptional customer service to all internal and external customers and assist with difficult situations as they arise. You will also ensure that all appointments are filled on a daily basis and answer, screen and triage a high volume of incoming calls; verify financial and geographic eligibility; and, schedule patients according to their assigned provider. You will verify and update patient demographics in NextGen.

    **Qualifications**

    Demonstrated work experience in front office reception in an allied healthcare setting Required

    Ability to prioritize and organize workload to optimize efficiency and complete assignments on schedule Required

    Ability to prioritize and multi-task Required

    Knowledge of University policies and procedures regarding release of medical records Required

    Strong verbal, written and social communication skills to obtain and convey information Required

    Interpersonal skills to interact professionally and diplomatically with persons of diverse social, cultural, and economic backgrounds Required

    Excel in problem solving and conflict resolution skills Required

    Take initiative in providing excellent customer service to patients Required

    Ability to effectively foster good working relationships with patients, administrators, providers and volunteers Required

    Ability to stay composed when confronted by difficult patients or situations and respond professionally Required

    Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, EHR/EDR and other computer programs Required

    Knowledge of dental and medical terminology Required

    Bilingual in English/Spanish language Required
