    Overview

    Packer Position at Pactiv Bedford Park, IL

    Are you experienced in fast-paced manufacturing environments like assembly line work, packaging products off a conveyor belt, or assisting machine operators? If so, we are looking for you!

    Incentives:

    • Pay Rate: $17.83 per hour
    • Paid Weekly
    • 12-Hour Rotating Shifts with Every Other Weekend Off
    • Day Shift Hours: 7AM-7PM

    Comprehensive Compensation Package:

    • Eligible for annual & skill-based wage increases

    • Eligible for monthly bonus based upon plant productivity*

    Requirements of Packer Position:

    • At least 6 months previous fast-paced manufacturing experience and the ability to work a 12-hour shift is required
    • Perform quality checks and ensure correct counts on various product sizes and pack into the appropriate packaging
    • Responsible for maintaining operational equipment
    • Identify and escalate quality issues
    • Stack finished product correctly for transportation
    • Ensure housekeeping and safety practices are followed
    • Complete all necessary forms as required
    • Work effectively as a team member

    Responsibilities

    Summary: Packer safely and effectively packs finished goods and prepares products for shipment

    Responsibilities of a Packer:

    • Support operations team by feeding material into machines, inspecting products, and packing goods in a manufacturing environment
    • Perform quality checks and ensure correct product counts
    • Make machine adjustments and replace tape
    • Maintain cleanliness and safety in work area
    • Promptly report any issues to supervisor
    • Follow company rules and regulations
    • Complete paperwork accurately and timely

    Qualifications:

    • Previous packer experience preferred
    • Ability to work effectively in a team setting
    • Ability to follow work instructions

    We are seeking individuals with experience in assembly line work, packing, and machine operator assistance

    Qualifications

    Physical Demand/Effort:

    • Must wear Personal Protective Equipment when required
    • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform manual tasks
    • High level of manual dexterity required
