- Machine Operation and Adjustments: Ensure machines are properly set up and adjusted to produce zippered products that meet quality specifications and productivity targets, including line speed, yield, and uptime.
- Winder Setup and Operation: Set up and operate winders to wind products according to specifications.
- Efficient Set-ups and Changeovers: Perform efficient machine set-ups, changeovers, and start-ups to minimize downtime.
- Troubleshooting: Coordinate and communicate troubleshooting efforts with team members, supervisors, quality assurance, and maintenance personnel.
- Preventative Maintenance: Conduct preventative maintenance tasks as required to ensure equipment runs smoothly.
- Material Management: Maintain appropriate levels of correct materials on the line at all times, ensuring proper labeling and identification of all raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
- Quality Control: Perform all quality checks and operate testing equipment according to procedures.
- Equipment Handling: Operate various equipment including polybag, blister, and hand pack items, as well as scales, labelers, printers, tapers, dumpers, and electric pallet jacks.
- Documentation: Complete all necessary documentation accurately and promptly.
- Safety Compliance: Understand and follow all safety hazards, rules, and precautions to maintain a safe work environment.
- Additional Duties: Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
- Education: High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
- Experience: Minimum of 6 months related machine operation experience and/or training.
- Shift Flexibility: Willingness to work assigned shifts with some overtime, including weekends.
Skills:- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong team player with good communication skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot machine issues effectively.
