    Job Description

    Support sales activities as a strategic and high-leveltechnical resource supportingvital pre-sales engagements and key opportunities.

    Responsibilities:

    Develop and maintain:
    Core competency on Fortinet's enhanced tech product line and technologies

    Expert-level technical and marketing knowledge in Network Access and Identity Management Technologies – FortiNAC, FortiAuthenticator, FortiTrust-ID, FortiToken, FortiPAM, and FortiGuest.

    Product knowledge of Fortinet's key competitors.

    Act as subject-matter expert to support US based Field Systems Engineers in pre-sales design reviews and serve as authoritative consultant by providing technical guidance and leadership.


    Participate with SE peers to lead the design and architecture of secure NIAM based solutions utilizing and leveraging all aspects of Fortinet's product line to create superior solutions in competitive environments.

    Provide support to System Engineers at various events in the U.S. and mentor SE specialists within Virtual Teams.
    Serve as Virtual Team Leaders and act as voice representing the U.S. Sales Organization from a technical perspective at various meetings and committees.
    Work closely with Product Management and Engineering to help identify, qualify, and develop features critical to Fortinet's success.
    Write whitepapers, tech notes, and create other high-level technical collateral, as required.

    Interface with Fortinet's Business and Technology partners within designated technology discipline and distribute that knowledge to the field Channel Engineers.

    Provide status reports in timely manner and ensure communication to the CSE Manager

    Minimum 15 years technical experience in networking / security

    Requirements
    Extensive knowledge of IP networks, AAA, and protocols
    Extensive knowledge of FortiNAC Network Access Control (NAC) solutions.
    Extensive knowledge of Identity and Access Management solutions (FortiAuthenticator, FortiTrust-ID, FortiToken, FortiPAM, FortiGuest)
    Good knowledge of security as a whole
    processes
    key operational concepts
    network security technologies, including SIEM, EMS, NGFW, SSO, AAA, Zero Trust concepts.
    Other, competitive products such as Cisco ISE, Aruba Clearpass, and/or Forescout
    Team worker, focused on reaching frequent evolving objectives.
    Self-motivated
    Presentation, and public speaking skills to various audience types, and sizes.
    Experience with effective evaluation process and closure (will be a plus)
    API awareness, and applications (will be a plus)
    Ability to travel.
    Potential Remote Position

    The Consulting Systems Engineer is required to customarily and regularly work outside of their office or home office engaged in selling, including travel as needed to make a sale.

    A CSE is a Senior Engineer, part of an elite team, who is an architect and advisor to the field engineering and accounts teams regarding the products.
