ExpediteInfoTech, Inc.
seeks a Junior Business Development Analyst to join our team in Rockville, MD, and support efforts to win new contracts with US Federal Government agencies.
The successful candidate will support our Business Development & Capture Teams and opportunities for growth by continuously adding to, reviewing, vetting, and updating our sales pipeline.
This role requires a fast learner with an interest in Information Technology and Federal Government procurement processes, strong internet search, Excel, and SharePoint skills.
The ideal candidate for this junior level position is a self-starter who understands the basics of doing business with the federal government and is interested in growing their career in Government Contracting.
This is a HYBRID position with occasional meetings at our corporate headquarters in Rockville, MD. Only local W2 candidates are eligible for consideration (No 3rd party corp to corp inquiries please).Responsibilities:
Learn and become highly knowledgeable in ExpediteInfoTech, Inc's core capabilities, past performances, and contract vehicles.
Build a pipeline of new opportunities based on EIT's capabilities, NAICS codes and business relationships by:
Conducting searches for opportunities across a variety of proprietary and public websites and databases (eg: GovWin, , Bgov, ).
Conducting market research in database search engines to include Federal Procurement Data System );
Reviewing Federal Government agency and sub-agency forecasts identifying.
Qualify opportunities and present them to the Capture & Senior Management teams for further consideration.
Provide on-going support of business development activities that include:
Solicitation tracking, status updates, tracking current opportunities and identifying upcoming opportunities.
Research and develop market and competitive intelligence data across the civilian federal marketspace; synthesizing results for Capture team's review.
Organize files and information for contract pursuits on SharePoint, in Excel, and OneDrive.
Respond promptly to internal requests for information.
Complete other administrative/data related tasks as assigned.
Required:
Bachelor's degree in one of these related fields: sales, business, communications, government administration, management, marketing, English, or technical writing.
2+ years of experience with Government Contracting business development processes and/or proposal development.
Strong working knowledge of typical capture development and CRM tools , Bgov, Salesforce, etc.)
General understanding of government contracting mechanisms and business cycles.
Strong critical and analytical thinking skills as well as strong time management skills.
Possess an exceptional level of attention to detail and desire to learn and grow in the field of Federal contracting business development and capture.
Must be a highly organized self-starter with a strong work ethic, who takes initiative and has demonstrated strong time management skills.
Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skillsDesired:
Exposure to a standardized Proposal/Capture Process (example: Shipley, APMP, etc.).
Experience working in a fast-paced environment, balancing competing deadlines and requests.
3-5 years' administrative experience performing research and providing management teams with data within an Information Technology services company.
