    Job DetailsJob LocationTulsa, OKPosition TypeFull-TimeDescriptionEssential QualitiesThe Bilingual Community Outreach Specialist at Tulsa Educare is responsible for focusing on audiences beyond the walls of Tulsa Educare.

    The Bilingual Community Outreach Specialist plays an intentional socio-emotional role in supporting parents in the development of strong, positive parent-child relationships through workshops, events, and consultation opportunities.

    The Bilingual Community Outreach Specialist, coordinates and facilitates parenting groups, training, family engagement activities, community partnerships, and referrals for early intervention as needed.

    The Bilingual Community Specialist will also manage general program operations for participants in the outreach program, and any tasks as assigned to further the ELW mission and goals.

    Tulsa Educare is seeking a Bilingual Community Outreach Specialist who will make the commitment to perform with integrity and model these essential qualities:

    Develops strategies to engage parents in early learning opportunities focusing mainly on the Hispanic community Able and willing to collaborate with internal team to further parent education through work with childcare providersCollaborate with other organizations, programs, and events to reach the desired audiencesCoordinate, schedule, and facilitate parent groups, parent education opportunities, community events, and other events as assigned Provide information to parents on the importance of their relationships with their child and how it relates to the childs language, health, literacy, social development, and learning and future life successCollaborate and consult with outside organizations for program development, program facilitation, assessment collection, evaluation, and outcome dataComplete project charters, dashboards and documentation of project/programs and eventsAbility to work in a flexible environment is a must- working weeknights and weekends as necessary to execute ELW programs and eventsParticipate in regular consultation meetings, team meetings, and staff trainingsAttend pre-service, in-service, and other workshops that may include overnight, and out-of-town travel as requested by managementAssume all other responsibilities willingly as assignedReport child abuse and neglect as identified by Oklahoma State LawKnowledge and SkillsBroad knowledge and experience in:Communicating with supervisor and team and help create an environment of team cohesionAble to receive constructive feedback and be accountable for the work executedInterpersonal skills and be culturally competentChild development and parent-child relationshipsFacilitating adults training groups using strong communication skills in Spanish and English Successfully managing interpersonal relationship skills to maintain effective and satisfactory working relationships with the organization and its community partnersTaking initiative to collaborate, engage and execute tasks and projects as assignedMaintain strict confidentiality of extremely sensitive data, records, files, conversations, etc.

    MS office skills, database software skills, organizational skills, efficiency skills and excellent attention to detail with demonstrated commitment to completing assignments on a timely basisBalancing and prioritizing multiple projects and priorities and following through to completionPossess results-oriented mindset, be self-motivated with strong project managementMust be driven to follow Tulsa Educares shared values: Kindness, Reciprocity, Positive problem solving, Inclusiveness, date driven decision making, and courageMinimum QualificationsBachelors degree, preferably in Child Development, Early Childhood, Families Studies, Social Science, Social Work, or related field and relevant experience working with children families in either an education, or social services Fully bilingual in English and Spanish required
