- Conducts contacts, registrations, and assesses clients' needs and barriers to employment.
- Identify client's suitability and eligibility for I-MATTER and convey results to client.
- Execute the processes of the (ASCEND) Model as prescribed assessing readiness for employment utilizing Motivational Interviewing.
- Assist clients with mutually agreed upon training and employment goals as outlined in an Individual Career Plan (ICP).
- Maintain client engagement from program enrollment through services and for 12 months of follow-up through a variety of means: phone calls, text, email, TEAMs,
- Work one-on-one with clients to address issues that arise during the program that threaten employability and refer to appropriate services as needed.
- Complete special projects along with routine expectations when it is required.
- Attendance at outreach events results in attendees engaged with programmatic information provided and follow-up (one to one, prescreen, or orientation appointments) documented.
- Maintain ongoing audit ready case files.
- Maintain relevant and timely data entry in Salesforce (Birdseye) and other funder database systems daily and/or reports as needed.
- Must be able to write and communicate clearly and effectively present information in individual, small and large group settings.
- Knowledge of employment barriers people with criminal records.
- Practical and critical thinking skills for servicing challenging and/or resistant clients.
- Proficiency in word, excel and power point.
- A Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or a minimum of 2 years' experience is preferred

Through a full range of services, including case management, educational instruction and advocacy, we focus on preparing individuals for the world of work by helping them find and keep productive and meaningful employment.

General Summary:
The purpose of the Department of Labor's Young Adult Reentry Project I-MATTER is to provide education and training services that improve the employment outcomes of young adults ages 18-24 who are involved in the criminal justice system and/or who left high school prior to graduation and to develop the capacity of community colleges to meet the needs of young adults with justice system involvement. The I-MATTER Case Manager is responsible for recruitment, registrations, assessments, and individual career plans to meet the Department of Labor's eligibility requirements and associated benchmarks. The I-MATTER Case Manager will also assist with delivering employment preparation and job coaching to clients in addition to providing internal and external referrals for education and employment. Case Manager will maintain client engagement once enrolled, to ensure clients remain involved in training and employment as well as provide twelve months of follow-up. The Case Manager will report to the I-MATTER Program Manager.
