    Description
    JOB REQUIREMENTS Education High school graduate required. Required to be in the process of completing a bachelor#s or master#s degree in accounting. Must have completed introductory accounting courses and have a basic understanding of financial principles. The ideal candidate would be a Junior or Senior Accounting Major student. Experience Proficient with computers and different finance software programs such as Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and QuickBooks. Must be a team player and motivated to learn with a strong desire to take on new challenges. Ability to complete tasks with little to no help and manage time appropriately. Ability to fill-in for other positions in areas with limited staff availability. Professional attitude and teamwork. Physical This is a safety sensitive position. Please see the St. Bernards Substance Abuse Policy for further information. Normal hospital environment. Extremely close eye work#on computer up to eight hours per day and continuous reading. Hearing within normal range. Finger dexterity, talking, repetitive motion and writing, lifting and moving up to 50 pounds. Continuous sitting (99% of time), some walking and bending. Filing and storing files. Repetitive motion of the hands, fingers, back, arms and legs. Use of computer - PC, calculator, fax, copier, telephone, scanner, printers.


    Communication skills:
    Interpersonal, phone, writing procedures and documentation.

    JOB SUMMARY Responsible for performing basic and routine accounting procedures in a timely and professional manner including, but not limited to:

    Various monthly/weekly/daily reconciliations, assist with month end close requirements, assist with audits, miscellaneous billing, filing documents and other basic accounting task.

    Plan and research issues. Meet assigned deadlines. Utilize independent judgment. Other duties assigned by the Corporate Controller or Senior Accountants. Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes.
