    Description
    Soni is partnering with a solutions-based Business Firm in seeking a

    Director of Technical Accounting.

    This Firm is

    serving individuals and corporations globally with offices throughout the United States .

    While supporting the world's top artists, entertainers, athletes, entrepreneurs, executives, and business organizations, they pride themselves on cultivating unique relationships with each client, accommodating specific needs, and working to provide the personal attention, recognition, and respect our clients expect and deserve .


    Job Responsibilities:
    Set up and develop the Quality Control Department.

    Perform quality control reviews for the audit and review practice (industries including broker-dealers, not-for-profit, SEC filers, for profit companies (manufacturers, real estate, hedge funds)

    Handle the peer review process and any PCAOB inspections

    Update the quality control manual (to include PCAOB and SEC information)

    In charge of annual independence process

    Monitor CPE for entire firm

    Develop training for the firm (CPE)

    In charge of annual registration with the AICPA, PCAOB, NJCPA as well as state registrations and renewals as needed


    Requirements:
    Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business related

    Active CPA license

    Minimum 5 years' public accounting experience

    Quality control experience

    Strong working knowledge of GAAP, GAAS and quality control standards

    Ability to deal effectively and efficiently with partners and senior management

    Strong written/oral communication and presentation skills.

    Ability to manage multiple priorities

    Ability to work well both in a team environment and independently

    Demonstrated project management skills and organizational abilities with an eye for detail

    Decision making and problem-solving skills

    Creative thinker with solution-oriented working approach

    Strong organizational and planning skills

    Good problem and conflict resolution skills


    Compensation:
    $170,000 - $200,000

    Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications
