    Description
    The Staff Accountant works in a cooperative team environment to provide support to the Finance Department. This position is primarily responsible for general ledger support, month end close, and other related activities.


    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Ensures proper accounting for month-end and year-end close, including account reconciliation, expense journal entries, accrual entries, and bank reconciliations.
    • Fixed assets and depreciation maintenance.
    • GL account reconciliations.
    • Internal/external audit assistance.
    • Budgeting/forecasting assistance.
    • Ad hoc accounting analysis and requests.
    • Misc. finance projects, as needed
    M-F, 8am-4pm or 9am-5pm

    HYBRID - at least 3 days in office, NYC location

    • Pivot Tables & V Lookups
    • Oracle
    • SAP
    • Sovos
    • Blackline (the reconciliation tool that they use)
    • Accounting Degree (preferred) / or Finance Degree
    -0-2 yrs experience with either an auditing firm, insurance firms, financial services, accounting position

    • Excel must have , spreadsheets
    • Microsoft 365
