    Our banking client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced senior-level VMware VCF (VMware Cloud Foundation) engineer to join their cloud infrastructure operations team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of VMware VCF and demonstrate strong technical expertise in designing, implementing, and managing VMware-based infrastructure solutions.

    Responsibilities:

    Consultation: Provide consultative direction and technical advice relating to the Bank's operating systems, software, and hardware infrastructure. Lead strategic designs, initiatives, and contribute to the analysis of new and existing Bank technologies.

    - Project Management: Lead assigned technical projects ensuring accurate, timely, and quality delivery of project objectives. Guide the development and execution of project tasks.

    Technical Expertise: Maintain a strong knowledge base to effectively manage and maintain operational efficiency and guide others. Communicate effectively and clearly convey technical information across platforms.

    Support, Maintenance, and Implementation: Support, maintain, and implement VMware VCF solutions tailored to meet the specific needs of the Bank. Lead the operations and maintenance of VMware VCF across infrastructure with emphasis on scalability, performance, capacity, and reliability.

    - Mentorship: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other team members.

    - Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate VMware VCF with existing systems and applications.

    - Troubleshooting: Provide senior-level troubleshooting related to VMware-based solutions, including performance optimization and system tuning.

    - Automation: Develop automation scripts and tools to streamline deployment, configuration, and management tasks.

    - Education: Stay updated with the latest VMware technologies and best practices.

    - Capacity Planning and Performance Analysis: Participate in capacity planning and performance analysis activities to ensure optimal resource utilization and performance.

    - Security and Compliance: Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

    Documentation: Document deployment procedures, upgrade procedures, Standard Operating Practices, and operationalize processes to facilitate knowledge transfer to other operational team members and Tier 2.

    - Incident and Problem Management: Manage and resolve incidents and problems related to the VCF platform.

    Qualifications:

    - Experience: At least 10 years of experience in Systems Engineering, including systems programming, scripting, and troubleshooting.

    - Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or Computer Information Systems (preferred).

    Experience Areas: Experience with VMware SDDC Manager, VMware vSphere, VMware vSphere Replication, VMware Tanzu for vSphere, VMware NSX or VMware NSX-T for Datacenter, VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle, VMware Aria Operations, VMware Aria Automation, VMware Workspace One, Zerto, Azure AVD (preferred).

    - Skills:

    - 8+ years of experience designing, implementing, and managing VMware-based infrastructure solutions.

    - Extensive hands-on experience with VMware Cloud Foundation, including its components.

    - Strong understanding of networking, storage, and virtualization concepts.

    - Proficiency in scripting and automation using tools such as PowerShell, Python, and/or Ansible.

    - Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) frameworks like Terraform is a plus.

    - Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to analyze and resolve complex technical issues.

    - Strong verbal communication skills across various audiences.

    - VMware certifications such as VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or VMware Certified Advanced Professional (VCAP) are highly desirable.

    - Ability to work on an on-call rotation.

    - Self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment where priorities may shift frequently.

    - Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.

    - Ability to attain new technical skills and share knowledge with teammates.

    - Ability to maintain a calm and patient attitude under pressure.
