The Program Manager for Gender-Specific Program Services will work closely and collaboratively with the Director of Program Operations and Chief Programs Officer to execute the mission and vision of its programs for K-12 youth development programming.
This role will play a critical role in transforming the lives of youth, families, and the community by executing a vision to provide high-quality programs locally, eventually extending the use of its model regionally.
This role will be responsible for a variety of significant activities including oversight of daily program operations for gender-specific program initiatives (Honey Shine and Band of Brothers), training, and fidelity.
This role will also be responsible for a safe and supportive environment that promotes personal growth, self-esteem, and positive development among our youth participants.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead the implementation and oversight of gender-specific programs (Honey Shine for female students and Band of Brothers for male students) for K-12 students.
Ensure that program activities are based on best practices and are result-oriented; this role will involve continually monitoring and evaluating their effectiveness.
Create a supportive and inclusive atmosphere where youth feel comfortable discussing topics that relate to social emotional wellness and personal growthSupervise/oversee staff working within gender-specific programs, volunteers, and enrichment partnerships with outside vendors and/or organizations providing in-kind services
Effectively manage, provide guidance and train staff for afterschool and summer (e.g., Camp Honey Shine)
Rotate between service sites to oversee Honey Shine Club sites and gender-specific program activities (for Honey Shine and Band of Brothers)
Coordinate outings and exposure trips for students in collaboration with the Program Team (e.g., Enhancement Days)
Assist in leading the implementation of Super Saturday programming during the Spring
Facilitate/participate in partnership meetings focused on gender-specific, social emotional wellness, and/or enrichment initiatives
Serve as a point of contact for problem-solving and crisis intervention during programming
Serve as a point of contact for escalated student and parent issues
Ensure the maximum number of participants enrolled in the OYC / Honey Shine program and monitor regular attendance
Monitor and audit all program sites periodically to ensure safety and fidelity of program design
Develop regular and ongoing communication strategies with staff, community partners, school schools, etc.
Represent OYC well in meetings conferences and training sessions
Conduct regular meeting and team building exercises to ensure team cohesion
Oversee the audit process, quality control and quality improvement process of data collection for gender-specific program initiatives
Develop and maintain a safe, supportive, and fun learning environment in which students thrive.
Funding, Compliance and Fidelity
Assist in the contract and grant renewal process for programs
Assist in the monitoring of program budgets to ensure program costs do not exceed budgetary constraints
Audit program processes for effectiveness and to mitigate risks
Pro-actively participate in the quality improvement process
Assist in ensuring program policies and procedures are relevant, reviewed, and updated on an annual basis
Regularly Assess Accountability and Fidelity of Program Model
Assist in ensuring proper protocols for data collection, entry, outputs, and outcomes
Review, report, and audit data on a regular basis
Assist with data reports or summaries to respond to funders as it relates to gender-specific programming and enrichment services

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree required
Minimum of three years of management/supervisory experience
Advanced Computer Skills / Microsoft Office
