Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, and Skills):4-year College Degree in Accounting or equivalent experience and education
Minimum of 5 years of related work experience
Knowledge of computer systems and spreadsheets necessary to perform job duties
General understanding of US GAAP and corporate consolidations

Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum of 10 years of related work experience
Knowledge of Glovia/INFOR systems and overall systems understanding
IFRS knowledge and experience

Provide support related to Greenfield & Muncie financials

Cost Accounting and product costing.

Manage and support F&A associates

Managing balance sheet accounts

Monthly closing

Records & documentation to support JSOX

Support the Distribution Center

Other duties as assigned

Skills and Abilities:
Proven ability to make sound business decisions, exercise good judgment, and be highly motivated
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, high level of accuracy
Confers with and prepares reports for upper management and possibly other Hitachi Astemo companies
Develops and controls department or corporate budgets and approves expenditures
Maintains clean and orderly work environment in accordance with 6S
Ensures all local, state and federal laws and regulations are complied with in functional area
Conducts performance evaluations for subordinate personnel and provides support / training as needed
Provides strong leadership to subordinate personnel
Interacts with various levels of associates
Analyzes technology, resource needs, market demand, and confers with all departments to assess feasibility of projects
Maintain knowledge of all processes, procedures, and equipment within Accounting
Coordinates and recommends cost savings and efficiency ideas for the facility
Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of organization needed

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Will supervise

Software:
Advanced experience with Excel preferred
Intermediate experience with PowerPoint and Glovia
Essential to Job Functions – Physical and/or Mental Restrictions:
Ability to work for long periods of time while sitting
Visual ability to work accurately with detailed information and a computer screen
Work Environment – Travel, Noise, Smells, Quiet, Indoors, etc.
Travel between sites.
