Job Description and Duties
This role is located in Folsom, near Folsom Lake, with convenient free parking. The office is close to walking trails, Historic Folsom, dining options, and shopping areas. The position allows for hybrid telework with a minimum of 3 days in the office per week. This position is not based within a prison.
Current State employees who do not meet the minimum qualifications for this role may apply for this vacancy through a Training and Development assignment.
Reporting to the Chief of Accounting, the Accounting Administrator II will oversee the financial status of the California Prison Industry Authority (CALPIA) by implementing systems for financial data collection, analysis, verification, and reporting. Responsibilities include managing subordinate managers and ensuring compliance with all financial accounting policies and control agency activities.
Exam: To apply as a list candidate for this vacancy, you must first achieve list eligibility by taking the Accounting Administrator II exam.
Per CCR 249.3, this job control may be utilized to fill future vacancies.

New CALPIA employees will attend New Employee Orientation (NEO) at the Green Valley Training Center in Folsom, CA. NEO is a 4.5-day session, and travel assistance is provided to employees traveling 50 miles or more for training. Any questions about NEO can be addressed during the interview.
