    Summary:
    Perform skilled technical work in plumbing installation and repair work on plumbing systems for the ON2 Projects.

    The Plumber Assistant exercises understanding of plumbing projects and ensures projects comply with local building codes, with guidance from a journeyman plumber .


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    Residential plumbing installationRepair plumbing and pipe systemsApply adhesives, sealants, and caulkInstall appliances: refrigerators, dishwashers, water softeners, and water heatersInstall pipe systems for gas, water, steam, and other liquidsUse soldering techniquesUtilize tools to assemble componentsFix leaking and clogged linesInstall sinks and faucetsPerform pressure tests on pipe systemsReplace defective partsDiagnose plumbing and piping problemsIdentify problemsInspect systems once installedTroubleshoot system failuresFollow safety protocolsLearn and comply with building codesMay be required to do any work outside of the scope of the role to help team complete projectSkills, Knowledge and Abilities: Must have basic residential plumbing knowledgeMust have basic to intermediary computer/applications skills including emails and MS office suiteAbility to accurately complete paperwork to document service process/deliveryAbility to internalize, display and promote PBS business best-practices and valuesAbility to work in confined spaces and physical able to crawl, crouch and kneel for long periods of timeAbility to tolerate potentially dangerous, noisy, or unpleasant working conditionsDesire to pursue ongoing learning about new systems and materialsProblem-solving and troubleshooting skillsAbility to read drawings, schematics, and blueprints to ensure proper installation of new lines and pipesBasic math skillsTeam work ethicWhy Clayton?A Berkshire Hathaway Company - an integrity-based organization offering unlimited career growth opportunities.
