    Description

    As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will be an integral part of an adept team focused on implementing and maintaining multiple networks.

    We are keen to welcome an experienced, creative, and tech-savvy systems engineer to assist us in providing top-notch IT systems.

    • Responsibilities:

    Automate software installation through tools like Puppet, Ansible, Bash, and/or Python.

    Offer advanced support and troubleshooting for hardware and OS, including backup, security measures, and disaster recovery.

    Create innovative Linux-based solutions for enterprise-level systems, such as local repository management, centralized user management, and DNS services.

    Develop strategies to enhance the security posture of all Linux resources to meet DISA standards.

    Devise deployment environments mimicking production settings for risk mitigation during software and hardware evaluations.

    Produce and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) and system documentation.

    Collaborate with various team members and stakeholders to address solutions and challenges effectively.

    Review and validate current security configurations for compliance with DoD standards and emerging threats.

    Maintain a continuous improvement approach to ensure service quality.

    Provide mentorship to junior team members.

    Be prepared for occasional duty outside regular hours.

    • Qualifications:

    Minimum of 8 years' experience in Red Hat Linux technologies and related platforms, along with familiarity with various tools and scripting languages.

    Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.

    Experience with Virtual infrastructure technologies and VMware tools.

    Active Secret clearance and IAT level II compliance as per DoD standards.

    Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) certification.

    Proficiency in Git source control management.

    Experience in Linux System Administration, Hardening, and RHEL platforms.

    • Preferred Qualifications:

    Possession of Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) or Red Hat Certified Architect (RHCA) certifications.

    Familiarity with CI/CD practices and tools like Azure DevOps or GitLab.

    Experience in delivering solutions following agile and waterfall methodologies.

    A solid background in technical training and certification complementing 8+ years of related work experience.

    US Citizenship is required for this role.

    The indicative salary range falls between $119,000 - $161,000, subject to experience and other factors.
